Are Soy Candles Easy to Make?

When you think of making soy candles or any type of candles some think it is easy to do.. I have been doing this for nearly 7 years and I am still learning.. Soy candles are very tricky , and require patience and time .. I have nearly 40 scents available , and they all require to be tested. This takes time as I have several jars to test them in..

Not all scents use the same wick.. Why you ask? Well some oils are heavy some are light. If you add color to the candle this to can affect how the candle burns.
I have even have candle scents that I can't wick, they just will not burn. There are several types , sizes of wicks .. Wicks determine how long this candle is going to burn before all the wax is used up.. If you placed too large of a wick , they are going to soot like crazy. So this is why testing is key and very important to developing great candles.


So as you see it isnt easy to make Soy Candles. It definately is a job like anything else.. Test , Test , Test and then Test Again.. I have found to write everything down when I test , and make sure you keep notes updated.
